Armor Maintenance
I've gotten a lot of answers for this already, but only from people who talk to me on a daily basis and I was wondering what the rest of you Naringalians - is that the word? - think about this. My chain maille is made of actual steel and apparently, the sleeves and only the sleeves for some reason, are beginning to rust. What method do you think would best deal with this? I want to get it done before this weekend. I've heard everything from rolling it around in a bag of sand to oiling it. Please, if you have an idea, let me know.

lol, go to your local walmart and then to the house hold cleaning aise. There should be like, Clr drain cleaner, etc. Oxi was the stuff Billy Mays used to sell on tv.
bah and it has been a long day. Oxy-clean is the brand now. I am behind in my popularity.

Ah, yeah, that stuff was supposed to clean everything. How did I forget the stuff that the hyper-happy Mayes Man used to sell?! Thanks June.

Joel,
An overly elegant vocabulary doesn't make one smart, just eloquent. But thanks for totally ignoring the resident writer...lol

Re: Armor Maintenance
Update: For anyone following this thread, I thought I'd post an update. Oxiclean will apparently not remove rust despite what it says. Still, it made the unrusted parts look nice and shiny. I'll give it another treatment and see if that works, but I did leave the armor in the bucket overnight and I put at least three scoops of that stuff in the water. Was that enough?

Re: Armor Maintenance
Second update: Second attempt a failure; considering alternative chemicals. On the bright side, my armor is really shiny now.

Re: Armor Maintenance
Gonna get some rust remover. Try that, although for at least this event, I'll just have rusty armpits.
