Tavern Options?
Tavern Options?
To all out there, in trying to come up with the most reasonable way to run the Tavern, I need your input on how you would like it:
1) $20-25 paid at Check in for Buffet style meals, Which would include: Friday Night, Saturday Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and drinks all weekend long. Would be sure to always have something available, for in-between those time as well?
2) Pay-as-you-go -- Create a tab, and then keep a running journal to subtract from for each purchase? -- We would still serve all the meals, everything would then just be paid for individually?
Let me know your thought, suggestions, etc ... My uncle WILL be doing the food for us that weekend, so it will be wonderful, and of course I will keep it all reasonable ....
SO GO

Re: Tavern Options?
I would personally prefer a meal plan, paid up front at Check in. That way I don't have to worry about making sure I have real money everytime I set foot in the tavern. The last larp I was a part of also included a light snack for saturday afternoon and a full dinner that night. Plus drinks and what have you on hand. If I have to pay a little more so that we can have such services, I will gladly do so.

Personally, I don't think I have ever spent $20 total on food at an event. I am sure there are some people who can't really swing it, no matter how good the food is.

Hey Joel,
I do not fully know the setup of the kitchen, at to what all is there. If and only if totally feasible, could other use the kitchen, and that would also depend on camp and other policies!

Re: Tavern Options?
Michael,
I want to thank you for getting your uncle to cook for us again, I'm very grateful. Its nice of him to take time out of his busy schedule to come cook for us the whole weekend, even more so when he doesn't play NERO.
Joel,
Michael's uncle and those helping him will be the only ones allowed in the kitchen area. If you need to have something stored their just let them know so they can put it away and/or get it for you.
Just like our events in the past if you wish to bring your own food you may, but try to stick to things that doesn't require a open flame or stove. Example: Jerky, Trail Mix, Chips, Sandwich stuff, etc...
If you wish to leave site, you first must be over the age of 18 and let the NPC Shack know you are leaving. You can find just down the road a few fast food places as well.
This is the final word on this subject, as always we appreciate your business!
